Newborn [Frankie]

Frankie was pretty chilled out, as you can probably see... she even let us put her on her tummy which can be a rare thing! To be fair, her parents were pretty calm too so I think she got a head start with this inherited trait! What a little trooper though as we put her through her paces for an hour and a half on a stinking hot day. She just rode the wave, man.

That face. Seriously.
I don't know if it's just because we're all mothers? But those are the sweetest, SWEETEST, little fast-asleep lips.

I can see my parents so clearly in this set of images in particular.
I think it's the 70's-style toning of the filter overlaid but I see my folks with their first born (me!) before the rest of the family came along. Young, newly married, new to parenthood, loved-up and courageous.
It's nice to know that like those I have now of my parents these images for Frankie, Jamie and Toby will stay forever remembered. Speaking from my age now, at 42 (nearly!), I gain from my parents' slides a rare perspective. They tell me who my parents were then, how they loved when they were young and how our family began.
Lucky for me my dad was a keen amateur photographer. xxx
